Dominica Flag Color Palette

Dominica is one of only two nations to currently use purple on its flag, the other being Nicaragua (as of March 2020). Historically, purple was not used on national flags because purple dye was too expensive to produce in great quantity until the 1800s. Dominica also has black and white on its flag.
